Terms of service

FollowThrough is in an invite-only beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable while we improve it. Beta access is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you in advance, and you won't be charged unless you choose a paid plan.

• You need to be at least 18 to use FollowThrough.
• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your login details secure.
• You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us promptly if you think it's been misused.

You own your content: the emails FollowThrough reads, and everything you enter or approve, such as projects, tasks, contacts and notes. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide FollowThrough to you, as described in our privacy policy.

You confirm you have the right to connect the email account you connect, and to let FollowThroughprocess the email in it. If it's a work account, that may mean checking your employer's policies first.

FollowThrough uses AI to suggest tasks, deadlines, project matches, summaries and replies. AI can make mistakes: it may miss something, misread a date or suggest something incorrect. Please review what FollowThrough suggests before relying on it, especially for anything important or time-sensitive.

If you turn on auto-approve, suggestions become tasks without your review, and you can undo them. Replies are never sent automatically: a reply is only sent when you review it and click Send, and you're responsible for the emails you send.

Please don't:

• use FollowThrough for anything illegal, or to send spam or harmful messages;
• connect an email account you don't have permission to use;
• try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around our security or limits;
• disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it without our agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put other users or the service at risk.

FollowThrough works with services run by others, such as Google (Gmail) and our hosting and AI providers. Your use of Gmail is also covered by Google's own terms. We're not responsible for those services, and if one changes or becomes unavailable, some FollowThrough features may stop working.

You can stop using FollowThrough at any time: disconnect Gmail in Settings and ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@followthrough.cc. We may end or suspend access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we'll give reasonable notice where we can so you can save anything you need.

FollowThrough is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially during the beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will catch every task or deadline in your email.

To the fullest extent the law allows, FollowThrough isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or missed deadlines, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here limits rights you have that can't be limited by law.

We may update these terms as FollowThrough develops. We'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using FollowThrough after that, the updated terms apply.
